European Variety

As the name implies, this European tour gives you a variety of sights that Europe has to offer—vibrant big cites, charming and picturesque towns, and stunning mountain scenery. You’ll stay one night in the Beaune area and two nights in Paris, Interlaken, the Lucerne area, and Milan.

The highlight of this tour is a ride aboard the spectacular Jungfraujoch train, an unforgettable rack railway trip to the “Top of Europe.” The train ride across 13,020-foot Eiger and 13,474-foot Mönch is a unique alpine experience. From the amazing Jungfraujoch, Europe’s highest railway station at 11,332 feet, witness a panoramic view overlooking the glaciers and extending over France, Germany, and Italy. It’s a remarkable experience! Also enjoy breathtaking scenery in Lausanne, situated on the shores of Lake Geneva; the alpine mountain ranges that surround massive St. Gotthard; Lake Lucerne, nestled between the snowcapped Alps; and Entlebuch, Lucerne’s most picturesque region and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Here, absorb the views of wild mountain streams, green pastures, and unspoiled moors dotted with wildflowers and dark spruce forests.

On this European tour, also enjoy guided sightseeing with a Local Guide—a local expert in the city who will share with you the city’s history, treasures, and culture—in Paris, Bern, and Milan. You’ll see the must-see sights, such as the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower in Paris; the Old Town in Bern, with its medieval architecture and astronomical clock built in 1530; and the famous Duomo in Milan, the gothic cathedral that is one of the largest cathedrals in the world. In Lucerne, visit the Chapel Bridge, a picturesque wooden bridge with the iconic water tower, and stone Lion Monument, built to honor the Swiss Guards killed during the French Revolution.

All of this and more—including time in picturesque Lugano, some shopping time and the visit of a sheep farm in the mountains—are included on this affordable Europe tour offering a variety of experiences.
