This 11-day escorted tour of India introduces you the India’s rich history, heritage, and culture. Along the way explore the best of India’s famed “Golden Triangle” in Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, and visit Nepal’s fascinating city of Kathmandu. Your India tour begins in the capital city of Delhi. Included sightseeing brings you to stunning sites such as the 11th-century Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, and Gurudwara Bangla Sahib (Delhi’s most prominent Sikh house of worship). You’ll also explore Old Delhi’s colorful Chandni Chowk bazaar by rickshaw.

No visit to India would be complete without a visit to the world-famous Taj Mahal—a timeless monument of ivory marble—built by some 20,000 laborers, artisans, and craftsmen between 1631 and 1648 AD for Moghul Emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial to his beloved wife.

Continue your tour of India in the “Pink City” of Jaipur with its opulent City Palace museum and gardens, and the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds). A separate excursion brings you to Amber Fort, the jewel of the city. Here, see intricate mosaics, carvings, paintings, and mirror works of the white marble and red sandstone.

Your India travel package continues to Nepal’s legendary city of Kathmandu with visits to Hanuman Dhoka and the Temple of Kumari, which is said to be constructed from the wood of a single tree.

Take a private guided tour of Bouddhanath, revered as the focal point of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal. You’ll also visit Patan, formerly known as Lalitpur or “City of Beauty,” where you’ll stop in Durbar Square—home to many Buddhist and Hindu sites.
